Men's Orthopedic Loafers

Orthopedic is what this rack is called, not what it does to your feet. These pairs are wider, softer and easier to get into than the rest of the shop. If you are treating a condition, take the question to your doctor, not to a shoe listing.

What you are actually getting

Room, softness and an easy opening. Mostly faux leather here, with a few suede pairs.

  1. A wider forefoot
More space across the ball of the foot, which is what most people mean when they look for this word.

  2. Nothing rigid on top
A soft upper that bends with the foot instead of pressing on it. No stiff seam across the instep.

  3. On and off without bending down
A low topline or a stretch panel at the side. The point of a slip-on, taken seriously.

Choosing the size

Measure your feet at the end of the day and buy for the larger one. Adding length does not fix a foot that needs width, so look at the shape of the toe box first.

If you use your own insoles, pick a pair with a footbed you can lift out, and count the thickness of yours when you choose the size.
