Spring Loafers

The spring rack is the biggest on the site, and that is the point: this is the season the loafer was made for. Lighter uppers, open shapes and softer colors, in faux leather, leather and suede, for women, men and kids.

What changes in spring

It is a transitional season, and the shoe has to handle a wet morning and a warm afternoon on the same day.

1. Lighter colors come back
   Beige, camel, white and pale blue. After a winter of dark shoes this is the fastest way to change how an outfit reads.

2. The sole gets thinner
   You no longer need the mass of a winter sole, and a lighter shoe makes a real difference on a long day.

3. Rain is still there
   Half of this rack is faux leather for good reason. Spring is the season where a suede pair gets ruined by one unexpected shower.

The one pair to start with

If you are buying a single shoe for spring, a mid-tone faux leather loafer in beige, brown or navy will carry almost everything you own, in almost any weather this season produces.

Add the suede pair after that, once the ground has dried out and it can be worn without a second thought.
